How-to guide and FAQs QR Code Generator
From a URL or a CSV.
Learn how to create your QR codes.
From a single URL to batch creation with colors and a logo, this guide covers input, generation, saving and frequently asked questions.
Create one code from a URL
Enter a URL
Choose single-URL input and enter a URL starting with http:// or https://. Enter a filename if needed.
Choose output settings
Choose format and image size. Use PNG for a standard image or SVG for scaling and print. Set colors and a logo here too.
Review and generate
Check your input and generate the QR code. Processing on your computer is the default.
Save the image
Review the completed result under preview and save, then save the image. ZIP saving is available too. Scan it with a phone and confirm the intended page opens before distribution.
Create a batch from CSV
Prepare the template
Choose CSV batch creation and download the CSV template. Open it in a spreadsheet, enter one URL per row and save as CSV.
Load the CSV
Choose or drop a CSV into the selection area. Enable the header-row option if the first row contains column names. Change encoding if text is garbled.
Assign columns
Check the URL column and optionally select filename, code-color and background-color columns. Without per-row colors, the selected common colors are used.
Review and generate
Set a common format, image size and logo. Review the count and each row’s check results. Correct errors or exclude error rows, then generate the codes.
Download the ZIP
Save the ZIP when generation finishes. Extract it and check each image. The generation preview shows the first QR code.
CSV files can be up to 5 MiB. Input limits per operation are 5 for guests, 10 for free members and 1,000 for Pro. Error rows also count. Export Excel .xlsx or .xls files to CSV before loading them.
Set colors, logo and format
- Code and background colors
- Choose common colors with the color controls or presets. Use a dark code and a light background.
- Per-row colors
- Enter six-digit color codes such as #183C73 in CSV color columns, then assign those columns after loading. Blank cells use the common colors.
- Embed a logo
- Choose a still PNG, JPEG or WebP image: at most 2 MiB, 4,096 px per dimension and 8 million pixels overall. A batch uses the same logo for every code.
- Logo size
- Choose small, standard or large. If scanning is difficult, reduce the size or remove the logo. Animated images are unsupported.
- Format and image size
- Choose PNG or SVG and 512, 1,024 or 2,048 px. Batch creation applies the same settings to all codes.
- Advanced settings
- Adjust error correction if needed. Stronger correction makes the pattern denser. Codes with logos automatically use the highest level, H.
The editing preview is an approximation. Save completed images and test scanning on a real device before printing or distribution.
Choose processing location
On your computer (default)
Generate locally without sending URLs, CSV or logo contents to a server. Device performance, free memory, count and image size can make processing slow or freeze the screen. Try smaller batches, smaller images or server processing.
On the server
Select this at the review and generation step. Required data is uploaded when generation starts. This can help with large batches; save images and ZIP files within 60 minutes after completion. Temporary data becomes eligible for automatic deletion after that period. Downloads do not extend it.
Saved QR images remain usable after 60 minutes. This deadline applies to downloading from the server. Save required results before changing input or closing the page.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free, and how many codes can I create at once?
Guests can create 5 per operation, free members 10 and Pro members 1,000. A single URL counts as one. Check the current limit displayed above the tool.
What can I encode?
URLs starting with http:// or https://, including websites, product pages and forms. Direct text, Wi-Fi settings and contacts are unsupported. The tool does not verify destination content or whether a page opens.
How do local and server processing differ?
Local processing is the default and does not send URL, CSV or logo contents to a server. Server processing uploads required data to this site’s server when generation starts. Try it if a large batch slows your computer.
Can local processing freeze the screen?
Yes, depending on performance, free memory, count and image size. Try smaller batches, smaller images or server processing. Unsupported browsers show guidance.
How do I create a CSV batch?
Choose CSV batch creation and download the template. Fill in URLs and other fields, save as CSV and load it. Confirm URL, filename and color columns before generation. Enable the header-row option if the first row has column names.
Can I load Excel directly? What if text is garbled?
Load one CSV at a time. Export Excel .xlsx or .xls to CSV first. CSV files up to 5 MiB support UTF-8 and Shift_JIS, including Windows CP932. Change encoding and check the display if text is garbled.
Can I change QR colors?
Yes, use the code and background color settings or presets. Use a dark code on a light background for scanning. Color combinations with insufficient contrast cannot be generated.
Can each CSV row have different colors?
Yes. Add code-color and background-color columns containing # followed by six hexadecimal digits, such as #183C73. Assign them after loading. Blank cells use the selected common colors.
Can I embed a logo?
Choose an image to place it in the center. Supported still PNG, JPEG or WebP images must be at most 2 MiB, 4,096 px per dimension and 8 million pixels overall. Choose small, standard or large. Batches use one shared logo.
Can I use animated images or a different logo per row?
No animated logos. Save APNG or animated WebP as a still image first. GIF and SVG logo input are unsupported. Different logos per CSV row are unsupported; create separate groups instead.
Should I choose PNG or SVG?
Choose PNG for standard image use and SVG for scaling or print. Available sizes are 512, 1,024 and 2,048 px. Single codes can be saved as images or ZIPs; batches use ZIPs. Check SVG support in the destination software.
Can I create a batch containing error rows?
Enable exclusion of error rows to generate valid rows only. Review the excluded rows in the check results. Input limits include error rows; split the CSV if the total exceeds the limit.
What if a generated code cannot be scanned?
Increase contrast, reduce or remove the logo. Do not crop the outer margin; scale both dimensions proportionally. Generation includes a reading check, but print size, paper and camera affect scanning. Test on a real phone before distribution.
When are uploaded data and results deleted?
Server results become unavailable and eligible for automatic deletion 60 minutes after completion. Downloads do not extend the deadline. Server outages can delay physical deletion. Save required images and ZIP files in time. Local results disappear when the page closes or input changes.
Do downloaded QR images stop working after 60 minutes?
No. The deadline applies only to downloading server results. Saved images have no expiry imposed by this tool. The destination may become unavailable if its page is removed or its URL becomes invalid.
Can I change the destination later or track scans?
The code stores the entered URL directly. The tool cannot change a completed code’s URL or count scans. Create a new code for a different URL.
