- STEP 04

Understanding output settings
- Output format
Choose an available output format marked as supported in the table below. Formats supported only for input can be used as conversion sources.
Supported file formats File format Input Output JPEG (JPG, JFIF) ○ ○ PNG ○ ○ APNG (animated PNG) ○ ○ GIF ○ ○ WebP ○ ○ AVIF ○ ○ HEIC / HEIF ○ ○ TIFF (TIF) ○ ○ BMP ○ ○ JPEG 2000 (JP2, J2K, JPC) ○ ○ JPEG XL (JXL) ○ ○ ICO / CUR ○ — TGA ○ — PCX ○ — PNM (PBM, PGM, PPM, PAM) ○ — Photoshop (PSD, PSB) ○ ※ — Camera RAW (DNG, CR2, CR3, NEF, ARW, ORF, RW2) ○ — ○: supported; —: unsupported
Photoshop PSD and PSB are read as flattened images. Layer editing is not supported.- Output quality
- Choose high quality, standard, prioritize size or a custom value. The quality number is a guide to output quality, not a percentage reduction in file size.
- Transparency
- When converting to a format without transparency, transparent areas are filled with the selected background. Choose a compatible format if transparency must be preserved.
- Animation to still images
- Save only the first frame or all frames in a ZIP. Choose a supported animation format if you want to keep motion.
- Metadata and color
- Choose whether to retain capture information or color settings, or standardize colors for the web. Check location information before publishing images.
Choose a PNG, set output to JPEG and background to white. Confirm that transparent areas become white before saving.

Processing and data
Images are temporarily uploaded to this site’s private storage for conversion. They are not sent to an external image-processing service. Files are removed as soon as possible after saving, cancellation or errors. Interrupted data becomes unavailable after 60 minutes and is removed by the next automatic cleanup.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my desired format unavailable?
Support depends on the processing environment. Use a format available on screen. SVG, PDF, EPS and AI are excluded.
Will files always get smaller?
Size may increase depending on format and quality. If reducing size is your goal, check the result and consider the Image Compressor.
Can I crop images or remove backgrounds?
This tool converts formats. It does not crop, enlarge, remove backgrounds, perform OCR or apply AI corrections.
Can different images use different output formats?
Each operation uses one output format for all selected images. Use separate operations for different formats.
